1. Elevators
When installing the hole of Elevators, we should pay attention to some points as follows: - the dimemsion of the hole must be suitable with the load (Follow catalogue). However, you should pay attention to the height of the building. If is the high building, it is better to design the hole larger than manufacturer's dimemsion a little (on our experience is about 100-200mm). because during construction period the phenomena maybe happened as hole deviation or the hole becomes narrow.
- The speed and the load of elevators decide the height of OH ( OH is the distance from overhead of the highest floor to tractor bed). If it is too low will not ensure the safety during elevator operation as well as can not meet to Viet Nam Standard of elevators installation.
- The speed and load also decide the depth of Pit hole ( Pit is the distance from the stop point of the lowest floor to the bottom of hole). This is an element that ensures the elevators's safe operation.
- In addition, both OH and Pit hole decide the comfort of elevator when operate up to the top ro down bottom floor. Because if OH or Pit are short the elevators will stop suddenly when coming to the stop point.
Machine room must ensure following elements :
Height: if the height is lack it will concern to the contact of Puly and cable. Therefore, it will effect on durability of Puly, cable and elevators's operative quality.
Ventilation: If the machine room is not ventilative enough it will effect on the gear case oil of tractor, when temperature increases highly or too high the frequency converter of elevator will be wave interferenced and elevator will get trouble.
Arrangement of machine room: install far from water tank, or units of Air conditioning system. Because exhaust hot air will make temperature in the machine room increase.
Trapdoor.
when designing elevator you should make a reference to opinions of elevators suppliers. The pictures specified in catalogue only is preliminary. there are many cases that break concrete to install elevator after the building completed. In this case maybe you know clearly it will cause big damage to expense as well as structure of building.
2.Escalator
When designing escalator you need to pay attention to follwing factors :
- declination angle of escalator (two kinds : 35o and 30o )
- floor height
- width of escalator step (Main three kinds : 600mm, 800mm và 1000mm)
Escalator price also depends on the above factors.
Design team should pay a lot of attention to distance (horizontal) between the top and bottom of escalator, safe distance to above floor for riders, girder of two ends of escalator. (Structure team should calculate bearing capacity of two girders. )
